Online Desk: Bangladesh women’s Emerging side went through to the final of the Women’s Emerging Teams Cup after defeating Pakistan by 6 runs in a rain-curtailed game.
The match went to reserve day and due to rain was then reduced to nine-over-a-side. Batting first, Bangladesh reached 59 for 7 following a batting collapse which saw them reduced to six down for 16 runs in 3.4 overs.
Number seven Rabeya Khatun scoring 10 and number eight Nahida Akter scoring 21 off 16 deliveries, saved Tigresses’ blushes.
Needing 13 off the last over, Pakistan were restricted to 53 for four as Sanjida Akter gave away six runs in the final over. Bangladesh will face India in the final tomorrow.
