Online Desk: Five people, including four of a family, miraculously survived after a container fell on a running private car carrying them on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram district on Saturday morning.

Belal Uddin Jahangir, officer-in-charge of Baroawlia Highway Police Station, said four of family members were going to Dhaka on the private car.

When the vehicle reached near the Foujdarhat Cadet College, a lorry’s container suddenly fell on the running car around 10:30am.

They were trapped nearly half an hour. But luckily, all the four family members and the driver got out of the wrecked car. He said that the container was empty.
