Multiple landslides hit parts of Bandarban, residents asked to evacuate

Online Desk: The six-day-long torrential rainfall flooded low-lying areas in Bandarban. Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Shah Mojahid Uddin said the multiple landslides hit different parts of the district.

Though no major accidents have occurred yet, but landslides can lead to casualties at any time as the rain continue. Meanwhile, the administration has warned and instructed the people living in the lower areas to move to safe shelter.

The continuous rainfall flooded low-lying areas, including Kalaghata, Islampur, Balaghata, Armypara, of the town.
