Online Desk: The meeting of board of directors of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) ended on Tuesday without yielding any result over the issue of selecting a new captain for the ODI format. However, all members of BCB gave responsibility to its president Nazmul Hassan Papon to select the new captain.

About the meeting BCB’s cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus said, “Name of the new captain would be announced within two to three days. The BCB candidate will hold talk with three cricketers who are in the list of probable captain. The list includes Shakib, Liton and Miraz.”

He said, “We talked with those who are probable to become captain. A meeting with them is also needed. We should hear if they have any demand.”

Jalal Yunus said all members of the board gave responsibility to BCB president (to select the ODI captain) in today’s meeting. The post has been vacant since Tamim Iqbal stepped down due to his injury concern.
