Online Desk: Shakib and Mushfiqur’s fifties helped Bangladesh score 193. Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah ripped through the Bangladesh batting lineup and restricted them under 200 in a batting paradise.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first. Coming out to bat, they lost their last match centurion Mehedi Miraz as he had soft dismissal to Naseem Shah and got a golden duck. Litton Das got a brilliant start and he smacked some boundaries but couldn’t hang on for long and fell to Shaheen Shah Afridi after scoring a brisk 16 off 13 balls. Mohammad Naim too had a good start but threw his wicket away to Haris Rauf. Number four batter Towhid Hridoy was knocked over by the pace of Rauf. Pakistani pacers got off to a solid start by removing the top order of Bangladesh inside the powerplay and keeping them under immense pressure. Bangladesh were 49-4 after the mandatory powerplay.

The experienced campaigners Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahim were at the crease and both fought really hard to rebuild the innings. Shakib counterattacked and didn’t let the Pakistani bowlers get settled. He got to his fifty off only 53 deliveries. The duo added 100 run stand and were on the line to keep Bangladesh hunting. But after the fifty of Shakib, he recklessly threw the wicket away as Faheem Ashraf gave Pakistan the vital breakthrough.

After the departure of Shakib, Shamim too followed his skipper. Musfiqur got to his fifty and scored a brilliant 64 off 87 balls then got out to dangerous Rauf. He was esteeming and kept the Bangladeshi batters under pressure. And then Naseem Shah ripped through the tail and trimmed them perfectly. Pakistan bundled Bangladesh out for a measly 193.
