Online Desk: New Zealand skipper Lockie Ferguson won the toss and opted to bat first in the second ODI of the three-match series against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday. Bangladesh made two changes as they brought in pacers Khaled Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud for wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan and Tanzim Hasan Sakib, while New Zealand went in with the same eleven.
Overcast conditions remain, with the ground experiencing a heavy downpour earlier in the day. Rain played spoilsport in the first game as it washed out the match after 33.4 overs were bowled in the first innings.
New Zealand have already announced their squad but Bangladesh have another chance to test out players and make decisions on specific positions with the deadline for the submission of the World Cup squad on September 27. The third and final ODI will take place at the same venue on Tuesday.
