The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: The authorities have been kept suspended the movement of ferries on the Paturia-Daulatnia and Aricha-Kazirhat routes since Saturday morning due to poor visibility caused by dense fog. The ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route were suspended at 7:30 am, and on the Aricha-Kazirhat route, the services were suspended at 7:15 am, said Shah Md Khaled Newaz, deputy general manager of the Aricha regional office of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).

Three ferries were stuck in the middle of the Padma River with passengers and vehicles. BIWTC Daulatdia ghat assistant manager Alim Daiyaan said, “The services were suspended to avert accident. Over hundreds of vehicles got stuck at Daulatdia ghat due to the dense fog. Those are waiting to cross the river.
