The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaque yesterday said Awami League will always keep the door of dialogue open for BNP. Razzaque, also AL presidium member, said dialogue is the best way to solve any problem, so AL will always welcome such discussions. But everything should be as per the Constitution, he mentioned.

The minister made these remarks at the golden jubilee and reunion function of Shaheed Smriti High School in Tangial’s Madhupur. He said a fair election will be held in the country in time according to the Constitution. It does not matter if BNP or anyone else refrains from participating in the polls. “But we will try our best until the last moment to bring BNP to the polls. It will be known by next September whether the party will participate. I strongly believe it will,” he said.

The minister said even if BNP does not, the election will be accepted internationally. Some members of BNP may participate even if the whole party does not, and other parties will join the election. Ahead of the election, BNP is trying its best to create anarchy in the country again, Razzaque said. Violent incidents in the name of agitation will be strictly dealt with. The party will not be allowed to hold blockades and strikes. Deputy Commissioner of Tangail Jasim Uddin Haider, Superintendent of Police Sarkar Mohammad Kaiser, Madhupur Upazila Parishad Chairman Sarwar Alam Khan Abu and others spoke on the occasion.
