Online Desk: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday conveyed his last message to the BNP from a peace rally in the capital.

Quader said: “You (Mirza Fakhrul) has given the last message. Today, I am also conveying a last message — Sheikh Hasina will remain the head of the upcoming election-time government. She will not resign from power. Sheikh Hasina will become the prime minister being elected by the people again.”

The peace rally was organised by the Dhaka City North and Dhaka City South Awami League on Wednesday afternoon.
The AL general secretary said Mirza Fakhrul observed hunger strike for three hours only after having breakfast at a five-star hotel, while stopped the hunger strike drinking foreign made juice. “They’ve been doing this type of movement. They’re giving us messages, mentioning date and time when we have to leave power. Sheikh Hasina is the magic leader of Bangladesh. Who are you to convey message? Who are you to tell whom Sheikh Hasina would hand over power? Who are you to say whether Sheikh Hasina would resign or not?”
Obaidul Quader said games would take place against BNP in the days ahead. Games would take place against vote rigging, corruption, looting and militancy. BNP is a party of killers, there is blood in their hands.
Addressing the BNP, AL general secretary said, “You feel encouraged because the Western powers have encouraged you. Mr Fakhrul, condition of the world is not good now. They are facing great difficulties to manage their own homes. Would they manage their own homes, or encourage you? Days for giving encouragement are over now.”
“Would the BNP lay siege? We’ll hold counter siege. We’ll not allow them to stand. Those who will take part in the siege, they are obstacles to the movement of common people. We will see what Americans can do against us,” he said.
