Police-BNP clash leaves ‘2 dead’ in Kishoreganj, police confirm one death

Online Desk: A Chhatra Dal leader was killed during a clash between the BNP men and police members in Kishoreganj’s Kuliarchar upazila on Tuesday morning.

But opposition BNP claimed that two of its men were killed after police opened fire on their procession.

The deceased were Refayetullah, Chhoyshuti Union Chhatra Dal president; and Billal Miah, Krishak Dal president, the party men claimed, according a Bangla news portal.

More than 50 people were injured during the clash that took place around 8am at Chhoyshuti Bus Stand area on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, it is learnt.
