The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the third triennial council of Jubo Mohila League at the Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka this noon. Sheikh Hasina, also the ruling Awami League president, inaugurated the council around 12:00pm by hoisting national and party flags and releasing balloons.

The council is being chaired by the President of the organisation Najma Akhtar and moderated by the General Secretary Apu Ukil. Leaders and activists from the organisation’s different units started to gather at the venue after 10:00am. It held its first council on March 5, 2014, electing the two as president and general secretary, respectively. Nazma and Apu were re-elected as president and general secretary at the organization’s second national triennial council on March 11, 2017.

Majeda Khatun, who came from Rajbari’s Goalanda upazila, said, “I along with 300 leaders and activists of our unit came to attend the council. It’s a very joyful moment for us as we will be able to see Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from very close. We hope that she will pick competent leadership.” The last council of Jubo Mohila League was held in 2017. The Jubo Mohila League was founded in 2002, with a convening committee headed by Nazma Akhter and Apu Ukil.
