Online Desk: The E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (E-CAB) has urged the government to facilitate the smooth supply of essential commodities in case of any emergency that may arise during the national parliament election.
They sought all types of logistic support before and after the election so that they can ensure free movement of goods-laden vehicles across the country, according to an E-CAB letter sent to the commerce ministry recently.
The association members provide services to millions of people every day with the permission of the commerce ministry and the government agencies concerned. Currently, around 0.9 million families receive their services every day, the letter reads.
The E-CAB stressed the need for keeping the supply chain stable under any circumstances so that the products and commodities, including emergency goods and services, ordered on e-commerce platforms can be delivered timely.
It sought issuing necessary government instructions in this connection.
The association will ask its members to display their stickers or pre-paid stickers or E-CAB membership certificate if necessary.
