The deceased were Nayeem, 13, hailed from Gafargaon upazila of the district and Sanaullah Sajal, 19, and and Fazlu Haque, 18, both hailed from Bhaluka upazila. They were the students of Jamia Islamia Darus Sunnah Qawmi Madrasa of Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh district.

Due to the transport crisis, the students were returning home by the truck after the munajat.  When the truck reached the Dhalibari intersection around 11:30 pm, a covered van in front of the truck took sudden a U-turn, the driver of their vehicle lost control and it overturned, leaving Nayeem dead on the spot and 12 others injured, he said.

The injured were first taken to Bhaluka upazila health complex and later shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) where Sanaullah succumbed to his injuries.

Fazlul died on way to Dhaka from the hospital early Monday.

Now, seven injured are being to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
