Online Desk: A total of 488 police members have received an ‘IGP Exemplary Good Service Badge’ on Wednesday in recognition of their performance in the last one year.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun presented badges to them on the second day of Police Week-2024 at Rajarbagh Police Lines grounds in the capital.

The IGP also handed over the certificate to each awardee during the programme.

Police Week 2024 began on Tuesday with the theme ‘Smart police, smart country, Bangladesh is of peace and progress’. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Police Week at Rajarbagh Police Lines.

The premier also awarded 35 policemen Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM-bravery) and 60 others President Police Medal (PPM-bravery) in recognition of their courageous work.

In addition, 95 policemen got BPM service medal while 210 PPM service medal as well.
