Online Desk: A case has been filed with Shahbagh Police Station for commotion and scuffle over the counting of ballots of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) election.
A total of 20 persons, including BNP-backed candidate Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajol and independent candidate Adv Nahid Sultana Juthi, have been made accused in the case lodged by assistant attorney general Saifur Rahman Chowdhury Saif on Friday night.

He filed the case as plaintiff.
On Friday (March 8), the counting of votes was suspended following commotion and scuffle over ballots counting at the SCBA auditorium after the two-day election for 2024-25.
Soon after the case file, police arrested BNP lawyer Barrister Osman Chowdhury.
Assistant Attorney General (AAG) Saifur Rahman Siddiqui was punched, kicked and beaten. The video of it had spread on a social medium. Some lawyers alleged that the attacks were carried out with the help of outsiders.
