The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Countering the BNP’s four-day march, the ruling Awami League’s youth front, Jubo League, is holding a rally in front of the AL headquarters in Gulistan’s Bangabandhu Avenue. Though the AL and Jubo League leaders said their programme is not a counter programme to the BNP’s, the rally is being held under the banner — “Rally Protesting the Terror-Anarchy of the BNP”. Since early morning, Jubo League activists and members of other AL associate bodies have been thronging the rally venue.

Addressing the rally, Jubo League’s General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil said, “Jubo League never compromises when it comes to Awami League and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. I’m urging all the Jubo League activists to remain vigilant and be active until the next election.” Meanwhile, Dhaka city (north) unit AL is holding a “peace rally” and warm clothes distribution programme in Uttara’s Azampur area.
