In the ensuing ninth edition, the Women’s Asia Cup cricket competition will feature eight teams—one more than in the previous edition in 2022—distributed into two groups.
Seven-time and defending champions India were put in Group A with their arch rivals Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal, while Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and hosts Sri Lanka were placed in Group B.
The top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals on July 26. The final will be played on July 28.

Sri Lanka have been runners-up five times, while the Pakistan cricket team has made the final twice.
The last edition was held in Bangladesh, with India restricting Sri Lanka to 65/9 in the final and winning the match with nine wickets to spare.
