Online Desk S.M. Bappy: The daily Ganomukti, a Bengali national newspaper, on Monday celebrated 50 years of its publication. Ganomukti had started its journey in 1972 aiming to fulfill the fundamental rights of people and rights of citizens enshrined in the country’s Constitution.  Ganomukti stepped into 50 years on Monday.

On the occasion, Ganomukti family got together, exchanged greetings and cut a cake of 50 pound to celebrate the founding of the daily at its office at Toyenbee Circular Road, Motijheel, in the capital. The Ganomukti office was decorated colorfully with various colors of balloons, lighting and other decorating materials to bring festive mood and environment.

President of the Editors Panel of the daily Ganomukti and Editor and Publisher of the daily Morning Voice, Md Repon Tarafder Niam flanked by the daily Ganomukti Editor Sahadat Hossain Shahin and journalists and employees of the Ganomukti and other dailies cut the 50 pounds founding cake. All joined the celebration enjoyed the moment and voiced with unison happy birthday to Ganomukti with claps.

Repon Tarafder greeted the journalists, staff, guests attended the programme for their cooperation in the long forward march of the daily Ganomukti. He also greeted the readers of the daily across the country for encouraging in keeping up the publication of the daily Ganomukti maintaining reputation.
