Online Desk : Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said on Thursday that they will take strict action if quota protesters create public sufferings blocking road in the name of the blockade movement. “The court issued a status quo on the High Court order on Wednesday. Now, there is no logic for movement after that.” “We request the agitating students to refrain from further movement which create public suffering, at least for these four weeks,” said DMP Additional Commissioner KH Mahid Uddin while speaking at a press briefing at DMP media centre.
“Any further road blockades will be dealt with according to the law,” he added. Earlier on Wednesday, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court issued a one-month status quo on the High Court’s judgment regarding the quota system in government jobs.
