Online Desk : Four separate cases have been filed with two police stations over Tuesday afternoon’s incident of clash and shooting centring the anti-quota movement in Chattogram. Some 6,000 to 7,000 unknown people were made accused in the four cases. Of the cases, three were filed at Panchlaish Police Station, while one at Khulshi Police Station. The cases were filed on Wednesday (July 17). Panchlaish Police Station’s officer-in-charge (OC) Santosh Chakma said 60 people were arrested in connection with three cases.
He said three cases were filed over the killings and incidents of shooting. Sixty people were arrested. Police filed two cases at Panchlaish Police Station being the plaintiff. The cases were filed under the murder and explosive acts. Some 6,000 to 7,000 people were implicated in each of the two cases. Another case was filed by Sumi Dhar, mother of Imon Dhar, who was injured in the hands of anti-quota protesters at Muradpur. In that case, some 100-150 people were made accused.
Meanwhile, one Shahed Ali, a student of MES College, filed a case with Khulshi Police Station against 500-600 unidentified people over clash at Gate No. 2 of the port city. Khulshi Police Station’s OC Neyamat Ullah said police were trying to arrest the accused.
