Online Desk : Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Secretary General Allama Mamunul Haque today said the constitution of Bangladesh should be made keeping in mind the country’s thousands of years old history. “The constitution of Bangladesh should be made based on the country’s thousands of years old history. The politics of division and vengeance pursued by Sheikh Hasina should be avoided. Tomorrow’s Bangladesh will be free from all sorts of discrimination . . . communal harmony will have to be maintained,” he said while speaking at a rally at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park in Tangail city.
The forces that were defeated by Anti-Discrimination Student movement are still trying to stab the nation in the back from behind, he said. “Now the minorities of Bangladesh are doing well, their temples, churches and pagodas are no longer attacked . . . no one attacks the business establishments and houses of Hindus,” Mamunul Haque added.
“If BNP, Jamaat and Hefajat Islam are not able to maintain unity, none of us will be safe in the country. Sheikh Hasina is not alone; there are also forces behind her which do not want to see independence of Bangladesh,” he said. Referring to the attacks on Swechhasebak Dal leaders in Gopalganj, Mamunul Haque demanded of the interim government to arrest the real culprits and bring them to justice within 24 hours.
