Online Desk  :  The interim government will hold a dialogue with major political parties on Saturday (October 5) over the six reform commissions and current law and order situation prevailing in the country. Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and other advisers will take part in the dialogue, Shafiqul Alam, press secretary of the Chief Adviser, told reporters at a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday evening.

Shafiqul Alam said the political parties would be apprised of the progress of the work of six reform commissions. Their suggestions would sought about the reforms. “We hope that the commissions will get a full-fledged shape within the next two to three days.” Besides, the political parties would be apprised of the law and order situation now prevailing in the country.

Asked whether the formation of commissions would rely on the political dialogue, he said the heads of the commission have already started working. “The government is looking for the offices for the commissions’ heads. Those who will be the members of the commission, their consent is necessary.”

When asked which parties would be invited at the dialogue, the press secretary said it is completely depends on chief adviser. The advisory council will decide the entire issue. What I have learnt that major political parties will be invited at the dialogue.”
