BIWTA suspends water vessels in coastal areas

Online Desk : Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has suspended the operation of vessels in the coastal areas amid inclement weather. Local cautionary signal number 3 has been raised at all seaports. The BIWTA issued the directive in this regard on Thursday.

Ehteshamul Parvez, Public Relations Officer of BIWTA, said on Thursday that all vessels operating on routes from Dhaka to Hatia, Betua, Khepupara, Charmontaj, Rangabali, and Monpura were halted until further notice considering the passengers’ safety.
