Online Desk : Public meetings and rallies have to be held at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan, instead of Shahbagh to ease public suffering, the Advisory Council Committee on Law and Order decided Tuesday. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Home Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Tuesday. The committee called for stricter enforcement, including the arrest of offenders, and urged authorities to expose the political affiliations of those inciting unrest during protests.
It also recommended that protesters submit their demands to relevant government bodies rather than holding street rallies. Protests at Shahbagh intersection, one of Dhaka’s busiest areas, have worsened traffic conditions, causing significant disruptions for commuters.
