Online Desk : The student movement against discrimination has been taking position at Zero Point in the capital’s Gulistan area since Sunday morning to resist Awami League’s pre-announced rally. Meanwhile, the BNP leaders and activists also gathered in front of Awami League’s central officer nearer to Zero Point. They were marching along the Bangabandhu Avenue and other streets in the area since morning. Police force are on high alert there with armored vehicles and water cannon. The government warned the fascist Awami League to refrain from holding any programme.
The student body came up with the announcement a day after the Awami League urged its leaders and activists to gather at Noor Hossain Chattar (Zero Point) at 3PM on Sunday to observe the Shaheed Noor Hossain Day. A total of 191 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was deployed to maintain law and order across the country today. The students took control of streets around the Zero Point from early morning.
