Online Desk : A court in Chittagong on Tuesday sent former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari to jail rejecting his bail prayer. Around 11:45AM, Chittagong 6th Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Shariful Islam rejected the bail of Chinmoy Das. And later ordered to send him in jail. Earlier this morning, Chinmoy Krishna was produced before the court regarding a case related to the alleged desecration of the national flag at New Market in the port city.
His lawyer Adv Deelip Kumar Nath said, “We will file a missing case on Wednesday.” After detention, DB police handed Chinmoy Das over to Chittagong Metropolitan Police as he was accused in a sedition case filed in Chittagong. Earlier on Monday, Chinmoy Krishna Das, the spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sanatan Jagaran Mancha and principal of Pundarik Dham in Chittagong, was detained by Detective Branch (DB) of police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.
