Online Desk  :  Three people were killed and at least seven others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Cumilla’s Chauddagram on Sunday.  The accident occurred around 11:30 am at Gangra under Chauddagram of ??the highway. The identities of the dead could not be known immediately. According to police, a passenger bus belonging to ‘Hanif Paribahan’, bound for Dhaka, lost control and hit a roadside tree in the that area. The front part of the bus was blown away. Three people of the bus died on the spot. Seven other passengers were seriously injured.

Miabazar Highway Police Outpost In-charge Jasim Uddin confirmed the news. He said, “We have sent police to the spot. The bodies have been brought to the police station. Efforts are underway to find the identities of the deceased.”
