Online Desk  :  BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina has indulged in conspiracy and propaganda staying in India.  “Sheikh Hasina has indulged in spreading propaganda. She wants to create chaos and instability in the country. Because of it, the danger facing by the country is yet to be over,” he said while addressing as the chief guest at a public meeting at Sakoa School and College ground at Boda upazila in Panchagarh district on Sunday (December 22) afternoon.

Addressing the Hindus, Mirza Fakhrul said: “Our Hindu brothers are here. There are rumours that you are facing torture and repression. Even, some of you are being extorted. Would you please tell whether such incidents have taken place anywhere? Such incidents didn’t happen at all. We are peace-loving people of this region. We, Hindu, Muslims, Buddhists and Christians, all live together.”

The BNP Secretary General said the Army gave Sheikh Hasina two choices. “You (Sheikh Hasina) will have to choose one of the two choices. One is people are rushing towards you from all directions. Do you like to be stampeded by them, or flee the country to save your life? Sheikh Hasina said she did not flee and she was not afraid of anyone.. But that woman fled the country to save her life leaving behind her party leaders and workers in danger. This is the consequence of fascism.”With BNP’s executive committee’s Rural Development Affairs Secretary and District BNP’s member secretary Farhad Hossain Azad in the chair, the public meeting was also addressed, among others, by BNP leader Engineer Ishraq Hossain, BNP Chairperson’s adviser and noted singer Baby Naznin, former minister and BNP’s Rangpur Division’s organizing secretary Asadul Huq Dulu.
