2 touchstone statues worth Tk 61 lakh seized in Naogaon

Online Desk: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have seized two touchstone statues worth Tk 61 lakh at Dhamoirhat upazila in Naogaon district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB-4 recovered the two touchstone statues-one weighing 43.3 kgs and another 17.7 kgs- from the pond of one Zahidul Islam Helal at Patna Chankuri village in the upazila at 8:30 pm on Tuesday, said a press release of BGB issued on Wednesday. Earlier, the BGB team seized a Hindu idol weighing 45 kg from the same pond.
