Police use water cannons, hurl sound grenades on protesters at Shahbagh

Online Desk : Police have dispersed the protesters using water cannons and hurling sound grenades at Shahbangh in the capital. Around 1:50PM the protesters, who were demonstrating there protesting cancellation of their appointments as assistant teachers in government primary schools, were dispersed as police charged batons on them to normalise the vehicular movement in the area.

After that, a few number of vehicles were seen plying there. The protesters began gathering at Shahbag intersection at 11AM. They claimed to ensure appointment of 6,531 teachers.
