Online Desk  :  Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain, adviser to the Ministry of Shipping and the Ministry of Labor and Employment, has said Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff, did not say anything without understanding.
He said it on Thursday in response to a question from a journalist during a press conference of the Advisory Council Committee on Reviewing the Labor and Business Situation of the Industrial Establishments of the Beximco Industrial Park at the Secretariat. Earlier, the Army Chief said, “If we engage in mudslinging, fighting, and quarreling among ourselves, the independence and sovereignty of the country and the nation will be at risk.”

When asked about the statement of the Army Chief, Shakhawat Hossain said, “The Army Chief is a very high-ranking person for me. He is leading an army. He didn’t say anything without understanding. The rest is up to your interpretation. As much as I know him, he is a very straightforward man, someone who speaks directly to people. So, I have a lot of respect for him.” The advisor said, “I cannot explain whether he said something or not. He can explain that. You should ask him.”
