Online Desk : BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir condemned a “bomb” attack on the BCS Administration Welfare Association office at New Eskaton, where “one person was killed and another gravely injured on the night past Thursday.” Labelling it a “cowardly and heinous” act, Fakhrul warned of a crumbling law-and-order situation in Bangladesh. In a statement sent by BNP Deputy Office Secretary Taiful Islam Tipur Saturday, Fakhrul said, “I strongly condemn and protest this bomb attack. It’s a stark sign of how far law and order have deteriorated.”
He accused miscreants of exploiting the post-Awami League power vacuum—following its ouster in a student-led uprising—to sow chaos for personal gain. “These attacks and deaths reflect their anarchy. We must crush them with an iron fist,” he urged. Fakhrul demanded the swift arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators, calling for unity across all professions and political lines to safeguard lives, property, and democratic rights, including the vote. He also extended deep condolences to the victims’ families, mourning their loss amid the violence.
