Online Desk : The International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Thursday issued arrest warrants against Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and six other Awami League leaders in July-August mass killing case. A three-member bench, led by ICT-2 Chief Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, took the charges, submitted by the prosecution this morning, into congnisance and passed this order.
Other accused leaders are AL’s joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, former state minister Mohammad Ali Arafat, former Jubo League president Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and its general secretary Moinul Hossain Nikhil, Chhatra League president Saddam Hossain and its general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan.
Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam and Prosecutor Gazi M H Tamim presented the charges before the tribunal today. The next hearing has been scheduled for December 29.
