Online Desk : Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left Dhaka for Malaysia on Sunday on an official visit at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The Prime Minister departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:45pm aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight bound for Kuala Lumpur.
He was accompanied by his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman. During the visit, Prime Minister Rahman is expected to hold discussions with the Malaysian leadership on issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two countries.
A number of cabinet members, advisers, senior government officials and members of the Prime Minister’s personal staff are accompanying him on the tour. The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and is expected to further strengthen ties between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
