Online Desk: The two-day voting of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) was scheduled to begin on Wednesday according the scheduled announced earlier. But, major complexities have arisen over the voting. Uncertainty looms whether the election to the SCBA will be held or not.

Some 3,000 ballot papers were torn on Tuesday night. Besides, after the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), the SCBA’s Awami League and BNP leaders have appointed two separate CECs to conduct the polls. In such a situation, nobody knows how the election will take place and who will conduct the voting though the Awami League backed lawyers’ leaders said the voting will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday.

On the other hand, leaders of the BNP-backed lawyers said they expected that all the problems are likely to be resolved by 9:00am on Wednesday. The Chief Justice will resolve the matter. Meanwhile, many have expressed the apprehension that if the matter is not resolved in an amicable way, it may lead to undesirable situation at the country’s highest seat of judiciary.
