Online Desk: Ireland have won the toss and opted to field first in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Bangladesh were forced to leave Mehedi Hasan Miraz out due to his injury, and left out Afif Hossain from the lineup.
Right-handed batter Towhid Hridoy, who impressed in the T20I series against England, made his ODI debut, and returnee Yasir Ali Chowdhury was also named in the best eleven.
Pacer Hasan Mahmud had to sit out as the team management went with Ebadot Hossain, who starred in the Tigers’ triumph over England in the third ODI in Chattogram earlier this month.
