Online Desk: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate drives arrested 30 people from different areas of the capital for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
A DMP statement on Saturday said the drives conducted in the last 24 hours till 6 am Saturday (March 25). It said being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas and arrested drug sellers and abusers.
They also seized 425 Yaba tablets, 200gm of heroin, 8.68kg hemp and four bottles of phensedyl, from their possessions, the statement said. According to the statement, a total of 24 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
