9 sentenced to death over Meherpur double murder

Online Desk: A court in Meherpur on Sunday convicted nine people and sentenced them to death over the murder of two brothers in Gangni upazila. Additional District and Sessions Judge Ripoti Kumar Biswas pronounced the verdict.

The court, at the same time, acquitted five persons as their charges were not proved.

The condemned convicts are Halim, 35, Atiar, 40, Shariful Islam, 40, Sharif, 40, and his brother Farid; Jalal Uddin, 42, Azizul, 36, Moni, 25, and Dabir Uddin, 32.
