The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: The Awami League’s 22nd national council was inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by hoisting the national flag and releasing a white pigeon and balloons at 10:30am on Saturday at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan.  Meanwhile, general secretary Obaidul Quader hoisted the party flag.

At the same time, presidents and general secretaries of the party’s district units also hoisted the national and the party flags. Earlier, the Prime Minister reached Suhrawardy Udyan around 10:20am wearing red-greem combination jamdani saree. Suhrawardy Udyan is bustling with the presence of the party leaders, activists and supporters from all over the country. As the day progresses, the council spot is filled to the brim.
