Online Desk: Movement of trains from Dhaka to Khulna and North Bengal has resumed almost seven hours after removal of derailed compartments of a freight train at Ullapara Railway Station in Sirajganj district.
Our Sirajganj Correspondent reports: Movement of trains from Dhaka to the country’s northern and southern Khulna district resumed on Friday night seven hours after the two compartments of a freignt train got derailed during changing lines at Ullapara Station at about 2:00pm on the same day. Later, the operation of trains from Dhaka to the country’s northern and southern regions was suspended.
Earlier, Ahsanur Rahman, sub-divisional engineer (Railways) of Bangladesh Railways’s Sirajganj Bazar, said efforts were going to salvage the derailed compartments and put them on the rail track. Movement of trains would become normal soon, he said.
