Child crushed under easy bike in Jamalpur

Online Desk: A minor girl was killed in a road accident at Islampur upazila of Jamalpur district on Sarturday afternoon. Deceased Muslima, 4, was daughter of Mojibar Rahman and a resident of Degreer Char village under the upazila.
According to locals, a speeding battery-run easy bike ran over Muslima when she was crossing the road by the side of her house. She died on the spot.
Islampur Police Station officer-in- charge Majedur Rahman said being informed police recovered the body and handed it over to the family members without an autopsy upon their request. Locals seized the easy-bike and detained its driver. The driver was later handed over to the police, the OC added.
