Online Desk: Bangladesh star batter Liton Das won the Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) Sports Person of the Year 2022 award for his performances across formats, ahead of Women’s football team captain Sabina Khatun, who won the Popular Choice Award, and archer Nasrin Akter during a ceremony at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on Sunday.  

Liton along with many famed members of the sports arena attended the event. Liton also won the Cricketer Of The Year award in the male category, while NIgar Sultana Joty won the Best Cricketer Of The Year in the female category.

Footballer Sabina won the Female Footballer Of The Year award, while Bashundhara Kings’ Brazilian forward Robson De Silva won the award in the male category.  The event took place on Sunday afternoon when the state minister for Youth and Sports of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Zahid Ahsan Russel was present as chief guest and distributed awards among the winners.
