Online Desk: Police have set up a barricade in front of Notre Dame College which foiled Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) procession on Thursday afternoon.
The procession, party Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, was going towards electricity office to hold their pre-scheduled sit-in programme.
Facing the bar, the party leaders and activists then took position on a street under footover bridge of the college.
The incident happened at about 12:45pm.
The BNP is observing the programme today protesting severe loadshedding and and corruption on the sector. They were chanting different slogans from the procession against the government.
