AL to hold sit-ins in Dhaka today, tomorrow instead of ‘peace rally’

Online Desk: Awami League has cancelled its peace rally scheduled for Monday (July 31) in Dhaka’s Agargaon trade fair ground, stating that the ground is not suitable for holding the rally.
Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League president Sheikh Bazlur Rahman confirmed this to the media on Sunday.
“Instead of holding the rally, we decided to bring out protest processions and hold sit-in at thana levels on Sunday (July 30) and Monday (July 31). The rally was cancelled as the ground is not suitable for the rally,” he said.
