Bangladeshi Porn Star Couple Arrested in Bandarban

The Bangladeshi couple known for their work in the international adult film industry, Brishti and Azim, have been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). They were detained in Bandarban on Sunday night (October 19), confirmed CID’s Special Police Superintendent (Media) Jashim Uddin Khan.
According to CID, the couple is being brought to Dhaka, and further legal actions will be announced later.
Brishti and Azim drew national attention after an investigative report published on October 17 revealed how the pair entered the global adult industry and how their activities were influencing Bangladeshi youth to explore similar paths.
As of October 16, 2025, Brishti ranked among the top performers on one of the world’s leading adult websites. She uploaded her first video on May 17, 2024, and by mid-October 2025, she had released 112 videos that collectively garnered more than 267 million views.
Unlike most Bangladeshi female performers who hide their identities, Azim and Brishti both appear openly in their videos. Their content is featured across multiple international adult platforms, and they use their social media channels strategically to promote their material.
During the first half of October, at least 50 Facebook posts were found promoting their pornographic videos, though it remains unclear whether these pages are operated by the couple themselves.
Under Bangladesh’s Pornography Control Act, producing and distributing pornographic content is a criminal offense. Authorities allege that Brishti and Azim not only committed such offenses but also encouraged others to join, contributing to the emergence of a domestic network involved in producing and spreading adult content from within the country.
