Online Desk : BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the upcoming election will not be like those held during the Awami League’s tenure, claiming that this time the polls will be neutral. To win this election, BNP must earn the love and support of the people. Fakhrul made the remarks while delivering the inaugural speech at the BNP’s “Nation-Building Plan” programme at the Krishibid Institute in the capital on Thursday.
He said the election has created a new opportunity for leadership. The senior leader of the party urged party leaders and activists to work together for victory instead of worrying about who did or did not get nominations. Mirza Fakhrul also said that a coalition of new parties has tried to portray the BNP as anti-reform. However, he claimed that all major reforms in the country came under BNP’s leadership, asserting that the party was behind every positive achievement Bangladesh has made.
