Online Desk  :  Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has instructed owners to provide conditionally roof and main gate keys to each tenant for security reasons. In order to ensure the rights of tenants, the City Corporation has issued a directive to the regulator under the House Rent Control Act, 1991, stating that accidents– man-made and natural disasters such as fire, earthquake– are increasing recently; resulting in loss of life and destruction of property.

In such a situation, the landlord shall conditionally provide the keys of the roof and main gate to each of his tenants. And the owner of the house must keep his house fit for habitation.
