Online Desk : BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday said the next government will face major challenges in revitalising the economy, maintaining law and order, ensuring justice and curbing corruption. He made the remarks while responding to questions from journalists at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka in the afternoon.
“The biggest challenge is to mobilise the economy, keep the law and order situation under control, establish justice and strictly control corruption,” Fakhrul said. Expressing satisfaction over the 13th National Parliament election, he described it as a significant moment in the country’s political history.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “This election is both very joyful and sad at the same time. Because our party’s late Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia could not witness this unprecedented victory.” Regarding the future of democracy, he said, “Only if we can continue this trend of elections, will it be possible to maintain the continuity of democracy.”
