Extreme heat bends rail track in B’baria again

Online Desk: The Railway line in Brahmanbaria’s Sadar upazila has been bent again due to extreme heat. The line got bent in Dariapur area of the town at around 10:30 am on Saturday.
Brahmanbaria Railway Station master Rafiqul Islam said the rail line got bent around 10:30am after Dhaka-bound ‘Upakul Express train’ went to Dhaka through the line at about 9:45am.
Dhaka-bound train movement through the bent line will be stopped until repair. However, up-down train movement through the alternative line will be normal, he added. Earlier, on April 27 around 1 pm, a freight train derailed due to the bending of the railway line at the same place.
