Police have arrested two accused after a case was filed last night in connection with the incident. Sonadanga Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Momtazul Haq confirmed the arrests from the Khulna city early today in connection with the case. A process is underway to produce the two arrestees to the court, he said.

Despite the strike withdrawal announcement, the office rooms of KMCH principal, vice-principal, hospital director and deputy director remained locked today, reports our local correspondent. Yesterday, the students had locked the offices.

The incident began on Monday, when a student at the medical college locked into an argument with a shopkeeper of a drugstore in front of the college, over allegedly charging extra money for medicines.
